how do humanists get married without a church? One way is to get married before a Justice of the Peace. People have done this for a real long time. Religious people or humanists can  get married this way if they want. The wedding only has a few people at it but after that you can have a big party for your friends. Another way is to find a minister of a religion that doesn’t care if you are a humanist. One religion like this is Unitarian Universalism. Sometimes their churches have just “Unitarian” or just “Universalist” in their names. The minister will want to know if you and the person you want to marry are both good people and are serious about your marriage. If you are, you are usually all set. You may be able to write some or all of your ceremony if you want.
